Welcome to watersedgebookkeeping.com ("Website"), owned and operated by Waters Edge Bookkeeping, LLC ("Waters Edge Bookkeeping," "we," "us," or "our").
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Website. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.
1. Purpose of the Website.
The Website provides general information about Waters Edge Bookkeeping, our bookkeeping and related business support services, and ways to contact us or schedule a consultation.
The information provided through the Website is intended for general informational and business purposes only.
Nothing on the Website is intended to replace professional advice based on your individual business, financial, legal, or tax circumstances.
2. No Client Relationship Created by Website Use.
Visiting the Website, submitting a contact form, sending an email, requesting information, scheduling a consultation, or participating in an initial consultation does not create a bookkeeper-client, advisor-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship between you and Waters Edge Bookkeeping.
A professional client relationship begins only after Waters Edge Bookkeeping has agreed to provide services and the parties have completed any required engagement agreement and onboarding requirements.
Waters Edge Bookkeeping reserves the right to accept or decline any prospective client or engagement, subject to applicable law.
No responsibility for providing bookkeeping or other services is assumed solely because you contacted us or scheduled a consultation.
3. Bookkeeping Services; No Legal, Tax, or Investment Advice.
Waters Edge Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping and related business support services.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, information available through the Website does not constitute:
- Legal advice;
- Tax advice or tax preparation services;
- Investment advice;
- Financial planning advice;
- Audit, review, or attestation services; or
- Other regulated professional advice.
Waters Edge Bookkeeping is not a law firm, CPA firm, tax preparation firm, or investment advisory firm.
You should consult an appropriately licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), tax professional, financial advisor, or other qualified professional when your circumstances require services or advice within those areas.
Nothing on the Website should be interpreted as a recommendation concerning a particular legal, tax, investment, or financial decision.
4. No Guarantee of Results.
Waters Edge Bookkeeping strives to provide accurate, organized, timely, and useful bookkeeping services. However, every business and financial situation is different, and results depend on circumstances outside our control.
Nothing on the Website constitutes a promise or guarantee of specific results.
This includes, without limitation, any particular:
- Amount of time saved;
- Reduction in costs or expenses;
- Increase in profitability;
- Improvement in cash flow;
- Financial performance;
- Business growth;
- Tax savings or tax outcome; or
- Other financial or business result.
Statements regarding the potential benefits of bookkeeping services — including saving time, controlling costs, improving profitability, maintaining organized records, or supporting better business decisions — describe potential benefits and are not guarantees of individual results.
5. Accuracy and Use of Website Information.
We make reasonable efforts to provide useful, accurate, and current information through the Website.
However, bookkeeping practices, software features, laws, regulations, reporting requirements, business practices, and other information may change over time.
We do not warrant or guarantee that all information on the Website will always be complete, current, error-free, or appropriate for your particular circumstances.
You are responsible for obtaining advice appropriate to your individual circumstances before making significant legal, tax, financial, or business decisions.
6. Consultations and Scheduling.
The Website may allow you to schedule a consultation through Calendly or another scheduling service.
Scheduling or participating in a consultation:
- Does not establish a client relationship;
- Does not obligate Waters Edge Bookkeeping to accept an engagement;
- Does not constitute an agreement to perform services; and
- Does not create responsibility for your bookkeeping, financial records, filings, deadlines, or other business obligations.
Consultations are intended to allow us to learn about your business and bookkeeping needs and determine whether our services may be an appropriate fit.
We reserve the right to reschedule, cancel, or decline a consultation when reasonably necessary.
7. Information You Provide.
When communicating with Waters Edge Bookkeeping through the Website, you agree to provide information that is accurate and that you are authorized to provide.

When you use a third-party payment service, your information and transaction are also subject to that provider's applicable terms, privacy policies, and security practices.

12. Use on Behalf of a Business.
If you access or use the Website on behalf of a company, organization, or other business entity, you represent that you have authority to act on behalf of that entity when providing information or taking actions on its behalf.
Nothing in this provision creates a client relationship between that entity and Waters Edge Bookkeeping.
A client relationship is established only as described in Section 2 of these Terms.
13. Website Availability and Changes.
We may update, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the Website, its content, or its functionality at any time.
We do not guarantee that the Website or any particular feature will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
The Website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, security concerns, third-party service interruptions, internet disruptions, or circumstances outside our control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Waters Edge Bookkeeping is not responsible for losses resulting solely from temporary Website unavailability.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Waters Edge Bookkeeping makes no warranties, express or implied, concerning the Website's continuous availability, completeness, accuracy, reliability, security, or suitability for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, right, or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Limitation of Liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Waters Edge Bookkeeping, LLC and its owners, employees, representatives, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating solely to your access to, use of, inability to use, or reliance upon the Website or its general informational content.
Nothing in this section is intended to limit or exclude liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
This limitation applies to use of the Website and does not replace, expand, or modify any liability provision contained in a separate written engagement agreement between Waters Edge Bookkeeping and a client.
18. Client Engagement Agreements Control.
These Terms govern use of the public Website.
If you become a client of Waters Edge Bookkeeping, the specific bookkeeping and related services we agree to provide will be governed by a separate written engagement agreement or other applicable client agreement.

21. Changes to These Terms.
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in the Website, services, technology, business practices, or applicable legal requirements.
When changes are made, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
The updated Terms will apply to Website use after they become effective, subject to applicable law.
We encourage visitors to review these Terms periodically.
